The Mariinsky Orchestra is one of the finest in the world and also one of Russia’s oldest in, its roots lying in the St Petersburg Imperial Opera Orchestra. The conductor, Valery Gergiev, has been Artistic and General Director since 1996.

This event is part of the ‘Istanbul Culture Route Festival’ (İstanbul Kültür Yolu Festivali).
