Ara Güler Museum’s first exhibition in Ankara, “Aphrodisias-Ara Güler”, is hosted by Erimtan Archaeology and Arts Museum, and sponsored by the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Volkswagen.Ara Güler first passed through the village of Geyre in 1958 and continued to going up until the early 90’s. Aphrodisias is now reconognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

The exhibition additionally comprises of Ara Güler’s original darkroom prints of Aphrodisias, his correspondence with international periodicals, prints of the publications, as well as notes about the preparatory stages and a maquette of Ara Güler’s book, Aphrodisias Scream.
