This collaborative exhibition by Turkish artist Barış Sarıbaş and Iranian artist Navid Azimi Sajadi focuses on the actual act of painting and creating sculptures. They draw inspiration from Muraqqa, albums that were created in Iran during the Safavid period to connect and share artists’ work. Eventually, the practice spread to the Ottoman Empire. Together, the two artists create a modern-day Muraqqa, uniting their works in an unfolding conversation about creation.
