ASTENE Conference 2019

The Thirteenth Biennial Conference July 12–15

The forthcoming ASTENE international biennial conference will include an afternoon session at the Railway Museum, York on Sunday 14th July and an excursion to Castle Howard and to Sledmere House on Monday 15th July. Sledmere House is home to the famous Turkish Room created by Sir Mark Sykes, when the house was restored after a fire in 1911. The writer and photographer Christopher Simon Sykes will talk about his ancestor Sir Mark and about his book on the subject.
