The songs of Ayten Alpman (1930–2012), a famous Turkish jazz and pop singer who was the wife of the pianist and singer İlham Gencer (1925–2023) and the mother of the jazz vocalist Ayşe Gencer (1956–2022), are recreated by a ‘House Band’ made up of some of Turkey’s finest jazz musicians: guitarist Neşet Ruacan, trumpeter İmer Demirer (husband of the late Ayşe Gencer), pianist Can Çankaya, drummer Derin Bayhan, double-bass player Kağan Yıldız and saxophonist Engin Recepoğulları. Additional vocals, meanwhile, will be provided by two excellent singers – Sibel Köse and Ece Göksu.
