Bora Çeliker, the host of this Christmas beano, will be both playing the guitar and singing. Having heard him perform at Nardis, I can vouch for his skill as a guitarist, but have so far never heard him sing. He will be accompanied in jazzy, poppy, bluesy and traditional Christmas songs by Nilüfer Verdi (piano), Batu Şallıel (tenor saxophone), Oğuz Alp Erdoğmuş (double bass) and Burak Cihangirli (drums). On the menu are Louis Armstrong, Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Bobby Timmons, Oscar Peterson, Vince Guaraldi, Kenny Burrell, Geri Allen and Wynton Marsalis.
