Özlem Sarıtaş will present a talk about the development of caprine and cattle herding and suid husbandry in central Anatolia, which is a long and potentially complex process, at Boncuklu Höyük and Can Hasan III. The settlements have a crucial role in understanding the earliest management of cattle, caprines (sheep-goat), and suids in central Anatolian Neolithic communities. Özlem Sarıtaş completed her PhD at the University of Liverpool in 2022 and has been involved with archaeological projects related to zooarchaeological analysis in Turkey and Jordan.
Registration is required for both in-person and online attendance.
