The Romanian organ virtuoso Eduard Antal is to play J.S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue in G major, BWV 541, the Fantasia à gusto Italiano by Johann Ludwig Krebs (1713-80), an arrangement of the first movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No 5, the Intermezzo second movement from the Organ Sonata No 20 in F major by Josef Rheinberger (1839-1901), a native of Liechtenstein, the Choral Alleluiatique No 2 from L’Orgue mystique by Charles Tournemire (1870-1939), the Scherzo in G minor by Marco Enrico Bossi (1861-1925), Hymne au soleil from Pièces de Fantaisie, Suite No 2 by Louis Vierne (1870-1937) and an arrangement for organ of Freddy Mercury’s Bohemian Rhapsody.

This is the closing event of the 5th Istanbul International Organ Festival, organised by Opus Amadeus.
