After a successful solo show at the Tate Modern, a solo exhibition of renowned Turkish artist Fahrelnissa Zeid’s work comes back to Istanbul. The exhibition draws on oil paintings spanning forty years, from 1940 to 1980. Figurative early work gives way to geometrical and lyrical abstraction, much of it influenced by her international travels and residencies. As one of Turkey’s most celebrated modern artists, Zeid’s vibrant work still feels innovative and fresh.
