In this, one of the Türk Telekom Prime Coffee Concerts, flautist and composer Halit Turgay will be accompanied by pianist Özgür Deniz Akalın and (in two of the items) violinist Rüzgar Turgay in works – mostly arrangements for flute and piano of pieces originally written for other instruments – by Debussy, Satie, the blind Japanese composer Michio Miyagi (1894-1956), Tchaikovsky, and three French composers: Jacques Ibert (1890-1962), Mélanie (‘Mel’) Hélène Bonis (1858-1937) and François Borne (1840-1920). The programme will also include two works by Halit Turgay himself: a recent work entitled Kapadokya (‘Cappadocia’) and his Ege Fısıltıları (‘Whispers of the Aegean’).
