The Süreyya Opera House in Kadıköy is hosting an celebration in honour of Idil Biret’s 80th birthday. The event, which will start with the documentary ‘İdil Biret’ on Sunday, 21 November at 15.00 will be followed in by speeches by Filiz Ali ve Aydın Büke. At 18:00, the Austrian pianist, conductor and composer Ingolf Wunder will perform works by Liszt and Chopin. Journalist and writer Zeynep Oral will also give a speech in honour of İdil Biret.
