This concert, which is to take place in the foyer of the Türk Telekom Opera Hall, features violinist Melodi Kayış and pianist Cem Esen in a programme of works by J.S. Bach (the Chaconne from his Partita No 2 in D minor for Solo Violin, BWV 1004), Ahmed Adnan Saygun (the Horon from his Demet Suite), Sergei Prokofiev (his Piano Sonata No 1 in F minor) and César Franck (his gripping Sonata in A major for Violin and Piano, FWV 8, composed in 1886 – one of the best works for violin and piano ever written).
