A small exhibition of acrylic on canvas and giclée prints by Rose Hughes. Rose has lived in the Scottish Borders for most of her life and is best known for her floral and still life studies.
However, these few works from the artist’s own collection show a strong sense of place, from a view through trees overlooking the Borthwick valley, to a boat harbour further afield. Two paintings set in Hawick’s Wilton Lodge Park will resonate locally, and that of a cyclist ties in well with the upcoming Hawick Festival of Cycling. There is also a selection of giclée prints plus a range of greetings cards drawn from her flower studies.
Please come and browse during bookshop hours, 11am to 4pm Monday to Friday.
