This concert features Sokratis Sinopoulos, a Greek player of the kemençe (a kind of violin with an elongated body that is used in the folk music of the Black Sea coast), and his jazz group (pianist Yann Keerim, bassist Dimitris Tsekouras and drummer Dimitris Emmanouil). The group’s last two albums have been entitled ‘Eight Winds’ and ‘Metamodal’; their music contains elements of Byzantine music, classical music, jazz and improvisation.
