This recital, one of the Coffee Concerts series, is to take place in the foyer of the Türk Telekom Opera Hall. Burcu Karadağ, who plays the ney – an end-blown flute, made of giant reed (Arundo donax), that is often used in sufi music – is to be accompanied by pianist Güldiyar Tanrıdağlı in works from Turkish classical music – with Western harmonies supplied by the piano – and a selection of arrangements of internationally famous pieces.
