From May 9 to 3 June, Plato Sanat will host Traces: 10 Years at Plato Sanat, a retrospective and archive of the gallery. From the beginning, Plato Sanat understood itself as an artistic research centre, in which contemporary artists discuss pressing questions that concern the art world as well as the society we live in. Over 30 exhibitions, 174 different artists reviewed topics, ranging from poetics and politics, to critically review our current living conditions and the art world. In this context, going beyond the known has always been a strong motto for Plato Sanat, as the institution has become a highly creative forum for pluralist and heterogeneous ideas, as well as multiple artistic productions strategies and numerous notions of aesthetics.
