RenArt Gallery

Vişnezade Mah., Hüsrev Gerede Caddesi, Seyhanlı Apt. No. 39, Beşiktaş

Mon–Sat: 11.00–19.00

Founded in 2012 by Berrin Akmanlar Kerpiç, it is too early to tell what the real calibre of this young gallery really is.

Situated on the periphery between Beşiktaş and Nişantaşı, an area which had zilch in terms of a contemporary art presence up until 2010, RenArt, like many of its contemporaries, endeavours to support and introduce Turkish and international artists to Istanbul’s art scene.

Each season, a handful of mostly (solo) shows are staged showcasing RenArt’s emerging talent pool. Artists work in the disciplines of painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, installations, video and performance. Most names on the roster are Turkish but there is also the English illustrator Luke Waller and the French metalwork artist Emilie Gottman. The rest includes the young artist Merve Turan; photographer Murathan Özbek; and painter Deniz Sağdıç.
