Kızkalesi, in swimming distance from the shore.
Kızkalesi means Maiden’s Castle, and this sturdy fortification encompasses an island not far from the shore where it was once liked via a causeway to Korykos castle. Korykos town, today’s Kızkalesi, was a Graeco-Roman city, and its large necropolis and scattered ruins can be seen around the town. Remains of the ancient cities of Elaiussa Sebaste and Kanlıdivane are nearby.
