Book Description

Sabancı University Sakıp Sabancı Museum (SSM) hosted the Mack. Just Light and Colour exhibition, a comprehensive selection of paintings, sculptures and kinetic works of art by Heinz Mack, one of the pioneers of German modernism, in the 60th year of his career. Mack’s first solo exhibition in Istanbul, presented a selection representing his entire career, starting with the early works he produced within the scope of the avant-garde art movement ZERO, when he was again showing at SSM. This exhibition catalog, Just Light and Colour also includes an article by Norman Rosenthal, former Director of Exhibitions at the Royal Academy of London, an interview with the artist’s curator Beral Madra and an article written by the artist.
